The Project John 2:24 workshop, which seeks to teach how to pray and sing the scriptures to worship leaders, pastors and ministers, in Salta and Misiones was a success. On average, in both locations, we had 30 students, including pastors, singers, musicians and leaders. They came with hearts willing and receptive to what Jesus wanted to do with them.
They were days full of teaching, study of the word and worship. We saw the biblical foundations of the model, the importance of knowing Jesus with the Bridegroom, the formats of Intercession and Worship with the Word. God is reviving and raising up his people and that excites us!
Now we enter the recess stage where the students must apply what they have learned in their churches and do the Challenges that we send. The challenges are activities and investigations that the students must carry out that will help them to deepen what they have learned in the first part of this workshop, besides giving them tools for their ministerial contexts and personal lives. Here we share with you some testimonies:
What did you like most about the workshop?
- The constant combination of theory and practice, not to mention the simplicity and sensitivity of the leaders who trained us. Full of fire, passion and love for the Holy Spirit.
- What I liked most about the workshop was the dynamics used, how practical they were, how attentive and cordial they were throughout the workshop.
Tell us about the impact of the John 4:24 Project in your personal and/or ministerial life?
- In my personal life, it made me understand and get out of many mental structures that I had about worship and how to carry it out…in the ministerial also a great blessing, as far as possible we are implementing the model and we see the movement of God in a different way, with more freedom.
- I was very blessed to be able to acquire more tools to help and bless the church in worship with the Scripture.
About John Project 4:24
Project John is a workshop for musicians and church leaders where we learn a new musical model that unites praying and singing Scripture. It consists of expository and demonstrative (practical) sessions where we teach basic theological principles about Jesus (Christology), the function of worship within the body of Christ, the importance of the unity of the body, the formats of praise and worship with the word and the application of what we have learned.
This tool revolutionizes the concept of the music ministries of our churches, focusing their hearts on praise and worship to the source of our salvation and sanctification; Jesus our Lord. The same happens with the praise in the cells or small groups by understanding the purpose of worship using the Bible itself as a source, transforming minds and hearts; it is the Word of God that will lead us to the revelation of the true Christ.
The workshop is divided into two modules with eight topics each. The topics demand an ideal time of 2 hours (120 min.) that can be reduced to 90 minutes by reducing the practice time; thus the ideal time for each module is two full days, with their respective intermissions. It is recommended to have the modules six weeks apart so that you can put into practice what you have learned in the first module and be able to assimilate the second one better. During this break period you will be sent some research assignments that will help you in your application and reinforce what you have learned.
The “John 4:24 Project” workshop culminates with an “Evening of Worship with the Word” where the students will lead this time showing the model to the congregation. As much as possible, we seek to hold this event in a large, neutral place where all congregations can participate in this beautiful time in the Spirit.
